They love you.
These little suckers, yes they do :) They love me too because they almost came out perfect. Almost because I almost over baked them. I told you my oven sucks right? Because it never gets hot enough so I leave things in longer, but then sometimes… you know what? Forget about it. It’s a weird relationship that my oven and I share, and you wouldn’t understand. Moving on.
Have you ever tasted something so good you wanted to slap someone? I promise I am not a violent person–far from it, but sometimes food is just that good. Would you agree? Well then my sister almost got slapped after I slapped myself, but she is much stronger than me so I had a change of heart–phew!
*If you’ve been reading any of my posts you know that I am very silly, and if you haven’t you’ll soon find out.*
So what happened today (other than these cookies)? Not much–I did have a delicious weekend though. I tried out this new spot in my city… actually it’s called *google* Seven Lamps. GREAT food! My beautiful bud and liquor connoisseur Danielle of Lushworthy.com suggested this place. We had the off the menu burger topped with what seemed to be pickled cucumbers. And how could I forget, the most amazing fries on the planet?! I am getting that fry recipe somehow. Oh and I had a cocktail. I am proud of myself. I am not a drinker (anymore), but a cocktail was definitely in order
The oatmeal raisin cookies came out good. I tried to follow the whole foods oatmeal raisin cookie recipe, but these are not those cookies. Completely different taste and texture. The whole foods recipe is amazing–but my cookies came out light and fluffy. Almost cake like. A complete accident. I just added things here and there, left off a few things from their recipe and whala, caked out cookies. I almost added banana to these. I really wanted to, but chickened out… perhaps next week.
